The British solution to slowing down traffic. It took me a couple days (and several snares from other drivers) to figure out the routine. When you drive up to a traffic calming, there is a sign and if the arrow pointing in the direction you are traveling is red, you have to stop to oncoming traffic. Ever a people of great manners, they will wave to thank you even if you were the one required to stop.
