Our Cotswolds Home

Here's a little look at our home away from home...it was absolutely adorable!

Di and Bry have a lovely home and beautiful landscaping...the English do love their gardening.  They still have an old church key for their front door lock!

A very comfy living room greeted us after walking through the foyer.  Thanks to their Sky TV we were able to stay up to date on all the news and catch up on old TV shows.

Their conservatory was off of the living room and a great spot for breakfast and relaxing after a busy day...and preparing for the next day's adventures!

A definite benefit of home exchange is being able to cook...sometimes eating out gets old plus it is so much fun going to the grocery store in a different country.  Smaller appliances are standard...works out great as daily or every other day market trips seem to be the norm as well.

Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bath.  Moma and Daddy enjoyed the comfortable master bedroom and I loved the comfy bed in my room.  Sleeping with the windows open and wonderful duvets provided great nights' sleeps.
I always forget how much I like European bedding until I'm over there and experience it again.  Seriously considering changing out my bedding and going with the European style. We definitely take for granted the space we have in our homes here in the States. But it is a testament to our ability to adapt to our situation/surroundings as we quickly adjusted to the differences.  You realize how important it is to utilize every inch of space when it is limited...you also realize how much excess we have here in the States.

Di and Bry have a lovely backyard with of course another beautiful flower garden.  We noticed how much the English appreciated the nice weather they were having during our holiday as everyone was outside from sun up to sun down (4am - 10pm).

This was the perfect home for my first home exchange and I look forward to many more!
