Hanoi by Electric Car

I've lost track of the different modes of transportation we've done on this trip but today's electric car experience was second to the Viking Saigon.  To make the time even more wonderful was we got to share the car with Sam and Marleah...two of our new buddies.  Sam and Marleah were travleing with Sam's aunt and they were so much fun!

What I loved most about the electric car is how you really felt like you were in the midst of everything but it was much less cahotic than the rickshaws.  Here's a few pics from our ride around the old city of Hanoi.

After lunch and what has to be the best Pho I've ever had, we continued our tour of Hanoi by motorcoach.  We visited the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex, the Temple of Literature, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Museum of Ethnology and the Hoa Lo Prison (Hanoi Hilton).

First stop...Museum of Ethnology

Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex was our next stop.

This is the house where Ho Chi Minh was supposed to live as the leader of North Vietnam.  However, he said it was too fancy for the common man and they would never come visit him and discuss their concerns.  So instead he lived in a very modest 3 room house (bedroom, office and dining room).

Final stop of the day was the Hanoi Hilton...

Our hotel was definitely ready for Chrismas!
