Before our visit, my aunt asked if we’d like to learn barn quilting and of course we said “YES”. Curious as to what makes barn quilting different from quilting, I of course went to Google. Unbeknownst to me, barn quilting is actually painting versus sewing. Since we’ve been on this trip, we’ve been seeing barn quilts all over the countryside.
My aunt’s friend, Jayne, teaches barn quilting so she asked her to do a class for us. A few other my aunt’s friends (Judy, Patty and Janele) joined us as well as Jayne’s daughter, Jamie’s sons, Jonah and Jensen. We spent about 7 hours (Jayne is a VERY patient instructor) and we learned all the latest town scoop.
